The Marauders were a 2018 4A State play-off team last year loosing in the Quarterfinals to the #1 seeded Salpointe Catholic. They beat Show Low last year 55-32. Mingus graduated 36 seniors from that team and despite being favored in this game will need to bring there A game if they want to beat the much improved Show Low Cougars. The Cougars opened their season with a 36-18 win last week over the 2A Round Valley Elks 36-16. Mingus lost there season opener to Combs 36-21.
